Casa Milà ‘La Pedrera' House
Everything in this building is curved and undulating. Its originality and the techniques found in its building are amazing throughout.That is one of the best-known works of the architect Gaudí, and it is one of the icons of Barcelona. It had been built between 1906 and 1912, and involves a succession of natural stone walls externally, as the interior has two decorated courtyards, columns and a variety of rooms. You will discover large house windows and flat iron balconies set in to the undulating fa?ade. On the top, on the other hand, there are chimneys and sculptures which can be artwork in themselves, and a marvelous view of the Paseo de Gràcia avenue. The building has been announced a World Traditions, and is also the pinnacle of Modernist techniques and tendencies.
Palau de la Musica
A modernist building that is one of the city's most emblematic edifices.
It had been inaugurated in 1908, after 3 years of creating work orchestrated by the famous architect Llu?s Dom?nech i Montaner. It really is one of the world's major concert halls and a fantastic exemplory case of Catalonian Modernism. The inside is adorned with ceramic mosaics and polychrome goblet with floral motifs. In 1997 it was announced to be one of Spain's UNESCO World Traditions sites.
