track down somewhere to buy a bus ticket. The hotel is an oasis. It has everything you need to relax and unwind. The breakfast is superb offering cooked food (Italian sausage, bacon, eggs etc), cold meats, salad, pastries and more pastries, fresh fruit, cakes and more cakes and great coffee. The bar is pricey but the range is awesome. Everything from very tasty (and strong) locally brewed beer, amazing cocktails (Mary Pickford was fabulous) and excellent Italian wine selection. The terraced gardens are delightful. I booked a room in the annex which was huge, with a very comfortable bed, a full length bath and separate shower cubicle. Service was excellent, pianist was wonderful and the shrimp tagliatelle was divine.

It's a must to treat yourself and enjoy the magic in the best hotel in all the city! Enjoy Palermo and Sicily, the key of the Mediterranean as Goethe said.

Very cool place. You can feel the history. A bit off the main stay of Palermo so be sure you have a looksee on the location. Very good breakfast.

opulent the hotel is showing wear around the edges and could use some rehabbing. Service was attentive, if understaffed, likely due to the fact we visited in the off season. Hotel is not walking distance to the tourist attractions in Palermo.

were no longer offering some of the activities and city shuttle I had read about. However Salvo and Alessia really went above and beyond to help us plan a few things we wanted to do. The bar is beautiful and Roberto was great! They have great amenities in the room which we were extra grateful for seeing how we made notes to get toothpaste and shaving cream but showed up to the hotel to find out they proved excellent brands of these things already! The rooms are beautiful. Huge ceilings and I loved the shower head and how parts of the bathroom mirror never fogged up! Really my only complaint was the bed. For how amazing the hotel is I was mystified how it seems to be appropriate to have hard rollaway beds placed together to equal a king sized bed. Other than that I was in heaven.
